Released:
Neo and Trinity, end of 2000 / early 2001. Martial Arts Neo and Morpheus
came out in 2001, followed soon by Real World Neo and Trinity by mid-year 2001.
Packaging: All figures share the same packaging, the only difference
being a sticker on the front of the box that identifies who the figure is.
The
Neo & Trinity 2 Pack come in a slightly altered box that is larger with
different text.
The text on the back of the single-figure box reads:
NEO
"The Matrix. What is the Matrix?"
TRINITY
"Twelve years ago I met a man,
a great man, who said that no
one could be told the answer
to that question. That they
had to see it, to believe it.
He told me that no one
should look for the answer
unless they have to because
once you see it, everything
changes. Your life and the
world you live in will
never be the same.
Why no Agent Smith Figure?
A
second series of 12" figures--comprised of Morpheus, Cypher and Agent Smith--was set
to be released in Fall 2001.
However, N2 Toys went bankrupt and could not continue
production. Maybe if they released Morpheus and Smith instead of the "Real World"
versions, N2 would have made just enough money to contunue on...
